Dear WAHI members;

Hi, my name is Dana Nigbor and I am the current President of the Wisconsin Association of Homicide Investigators. I am very proud to serve as this year’s WAHI President.  The 2010 annual conference was held in April in Wisconsin Rapids and was a great success.  The training provided was again top notch and shows the hard work that your Board of Directors and officers put into this association.

I am very excited about the upcoming trainings this year.  There is a one day conference planned at the Hudson House Inn in Hudson, Wisconsin on September 17, 2010 from 8 AM to 4 PM.  Please refer to the rest of this website for the training information and registration.  We hope to see as many of you as we can as we expect this to be another high-quality training session.  Plans are in the works for the 2011 conference that will be held at the Sheboygan Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

I want to take this opportunity to mention the WAHI’s cold case homicide and missing persons’ playing cards program.  Currently there are 104 cases that have been submitted, so the cold case card program committee can begin creating the decks of cards to be distributed.  If you have any cold case homicides or missing persons, please contact DCI Special Agent James Holmes at holmesjc@doj.state.wi.us.

This upcoming August, myself and the training committee chairperson will be attending the IAHI (International Association of Homicide Investigators) conference in Sparks, Nevada to evaluate some national speakers for our upcoming conferences.

We continue to be one of the largest homicide investigators associations in the country, and I want to thank you all for your continued support to each other and to this organization.

Sincerely, Dana P. Nigbor, WAHI President 2010-2011
